Matt Rogers
Teaching Pastor
Matt and his wife Sarah have two daughters, Corrie Noel and Avery Elizabeth, and one son, Hudson Emmett. Matt completed his undergraduate work at Furman University and holds a Master's degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Sarah is a licensed school teacher who now devotes all of her energy to raising their children. |
Toby Dix
Family Pastor
Toby and his wife Julieann have two children, a daughter named Madison and a son named Tanner. Toby is a native of Travelers Rest, SC, andGod saved him at the age of 19. He has served in churches in Sumter, Anderson, and Greenville over the past two decades. Currently, he is enjoying serving as an Elder at Renewal Church. He is also the founder of BeReal Ministries, which conducts Meltdown Student Conferences across the SouthEast. He enjoys spending time with his family and riding his Harley. |
Hugh Carson
Connections Pastor
Hugh and his wife Hollie have two beautiful daughters: Laney and Mattie. Hugh earned his undergrad from North Georgia College and later served as an IMB missionary to East Asia for two years. Upon returning home, Hugh and Hollie began dating and married a year later. He holds a Masters from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Hollie was a high school Spanish teacher and now stays home with their children. |
Stephen and Christina Rutland
Music and Administration
Upon their marriage in August 2009, Stephen and Christina moved to Greenville to help launch Renewal Church. Stephen works as a registered nurse at a local hospital and assists part-time leading worship. Christina has a degree in theater and now works part-time for the church doing administrative and financial work. They have one dog, Tess. |
Dan Carroll
College Minister
Dan serves as our College Minister and coordinates our efforts to serve and disciple students at area schools. Dan's background is in student and outdoor ministry. His wife, Kelly, serves full-time in the financial management industry, and they have a son, Jake. |
Josh Pedersen
Director, Renewal Leadership Institute
Josh and his wife Olivia were married in 1999 and have 4 amazing kids: Emma Ruth, Ansley, Bear, and Stella. After completing a bible school program through Torchbearers, Josh went on to complete an undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies and Philosophy at Palm Beach Atlantic University as well as a Masters Degree from Erskine Theological Seminary. Josh has been in pastoral ministry since 2001, having been a part of the pastoral staff and planting team of Summit Church in Orlando FL, before moving to Greenville in December of 2004 to come on staff at Shannon Forest Presbyterian Church as associate pastor and later serving as interim senior pastor. Josh has a passion for teaching and in addition to being on staff at Renewal as the Director of the Renewal Leadership Institute, he is currently serving as the school Chaplain of Shannon Forest Christian School and teaching ancient history and bible. Olivia has one of the greatest, yet toughest, jobs in the world... raising 4 kids and supporting a husband in ministry! |
