Focus: Empowering Missionaries

Overview: We believe that every Christian is called to be a missionary. Our missionary efforts through Renewal are focused on four fronts: one-mile (in our community), our city, our nation, and the world. To that end, we are seeking to focus on projects in each of these locations that can serve as contexts for the missionary engagement of our people. We are currently praying about and developing these locations.

Locally, we are currently partnering with several organizations as well as working on the launch of our Renewal Leadership Institute. Also, we have partnered with four U.S. church plants: Covenant Life Church in Tampa, FL, Redemption Hill in Boston, Restoration Church in Washington, DC, and True North Church in Anchorage, Alaska. Over the coming years, Renewal will provide resources and manpower to assist in the building of the body of Christ in these locations.

On the international front, we have partnered with a missionary in Scandinavia to discuss church planting in those countries. We conducted an exploritory trip in January 2011 and are in the process of planning additional trips to serve in these areas.
